MARY LYN GOUGH
Mother Nature is full of amazing textures. I have always been drawn to the beauty, colors, and complexities of flowers. No two are alike, even from the same variety. They are my subject and inspiration.

I aim to capture that visceral experience in each painting that allows the viewer to be enveloped in my art. The images allow the viewer to be intimate with each painting. They spark the senses. They are luscious. They are inviting. They are vibrant. They compel you to want to touch or smell each piece.

Watercolor is my chosen medium. Watercolors have the transparency of oils, and the vibrancy of acrylics with the beguiling nature of water. It is an attempt to control the uncontrollable.
